Episode 3

Hello Hilly Monsters :)
 Sorry it has been a while since our last post, we have been distracted by the new Breaking Dawn Part 2 Parody!

This post is all about episode 3 of the Hillywood Show!

This Episode is introduced by Beetle Juice (a character from a Tim Burton film) (remember, at the end of Episode 2, Jack gets a letter and reads it OUTLOUD!) who says that Jack has been 'mutinied upon'.

Hilly lost her voice after playing Beetle juice! (Not for very long though).

The first sketch features Hilly impersonating Edward Scissorhands (Originally played by Johnny Depp)  trying to learn his table manners.

The second sketch features Hilly as Mort Rainey (who we saw in episode 1) and 2 'frightened' girls played by Kaitlyn Maldonado and Kylie Maldonado.

The final sketch features Hilly as Sam (originally played by Johnny Depp) and Hannha as Joon (Mary Stuart Masterson) from the film Benny and Joon. Joon was the first female character that Hannah impersonated in The Hillywood Show and Hilly learned the bread dance the night before the shoot!

At the very end, Beetle Juice is turned into a beetle and Jack squishes him! As usual, Hilly and Hannah were the creators/writers/directors/editors, Hannah was the make-up artist, the costume designer was Mario Maldonado and the sets were designed by Hollywood Event Design Group.

Episode 2

Hello everyone :)

This post is all about episode 2 of the Hillywood show.

 

Episode 2

 

The episode starts with Hilly playing Captain (or Chief) Jack Sparrow who is dressed in the sacrificial make-up from Pirates of the Caribbean 'Dead Man's Chest'. The first sketch is of Moosebumps and Goosebumps, who took first place in the AOL be a red star competition with their show 'The Moosebump Show'. Hilly and Hannah portray them as deer-hunting, mullet-wearing boys from Indiana and in her impersonation, Hilly says, “Show us your jealous faces!"and "The Hillywood Show is better than we ever imagined!" Moosebumps is played by Hilly and Hannah stars as Goosebumps (it is her first on camera appearance in the Hillywood Show).

 

The second sketch features Hilly as James Barrie (originally played by Johnny Depp) from 'Finding Neverland' and Napoleon Dynamite from 'Napoleon Dynamite'.

While filming this episode, Hilly bruised her back from the cannibal pole seen before the James Barrie sketch. The sketches were mostly filmed during the Thanksgiving week of 2007 and the line  “Whatever I feel like I’m gonna wear. Even if it means I’m butt naked.” was mad. lib, meaning it was improvised.

At the end, Jack (who is still tied to the pole) receives a letter from a mysterious character which contains the word BeeTeLGeUSe written 3 times. Jack reads aloud the letter and the episode ends with tense music and a worried looking Jack!

The Beginning

Hey HillyBombs (is this a good fan name by the way?)

As this blog has just started, I thought we would also start at the beginning of the Hillywood journey!

 

It started a couple of years ago when Hilly Hindi entered AOL’s “Be a Red Star” contest and was placed 3rd out of about 100,000 video entries! (See link which will open in a new window) http://richmondthenandnow.com/Retired%20Pages/hillary-hillywood.html

Although she was placed 3rd, Hilly didn't give up, and started filming her 'one woman show' which came to be 'The Hillywood Show'! The very first episode was shot in 3 days (8-10hrs per day) and was a instant hit, with 288,623 views to date!

 

Episode one introduced us to one of Hilly's best known impersonations, Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean) as well as Willy Wonka (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) Edward Scissorhands (Edward Scissorhands) and Mort Rainey from Secret Window (all characters originally played by Johnny Depp).

Although Hannah did not star in this video, as a supportive big sister, she acted as the Make-up artist and, along with Hilly, was the creator and writer.

First Blog!

Hey guys!
This is our first Hillywood Blog! Not really sure how this all works, but hopefully you will like it!
I will try and stick to it, but if I don't understand things I usually forget to update them!
We aim to keep you updated with all the latest Hillywood news, but to start with, we are just going to mess around with the blog settings and stuff to try and get used to it!
